Description.
Made from natural agate. It has an elongated cylindrical shape with gently rounded ends. The decoration consists of five circular ‘eye’ motifs arranged in a pattern of three aligned eyes followed by two additional eyes, all integrated into a design of sinuous lines. It shows patina due to ageing. Liao Dynasty (916–1125) or later.
