Agate seal ‘Chilong with cubs’, Qing dynasty

Carved agate seal with a perforated square base of a translucent white hue. The seal head, of an intense reddish colour, makes use of the material’s natural tones to depict a Chilung dragon surrounded by its young with great dynamism. The impression surface retains traces of cinnabar and features seal-style characters. Qing Dynasty (1644–1912). or later. 。
