Description.
Watercolor on paper. The painting depicts the iconic “pesca del bou” (trawling). A team of oxen plows forcefully through the water, guided by the sailors, while the boat’s large lateen sail unfurls and billows in the wind, dominating the upper left corner of the composition with its vibrant colors. A flock of seagulls flies overhead, enhancing the realism of the seascape. Signed “Sanchis Cortes” in the lower left corner.
