Description.
Glass vase painted and engraved by Alphonse-Georges Reyen, renowned pioneer of Art Nouveau in France. At the end of the 19th century, his artistic production was deeply influenced by Japanese aesthetics and art, a characteristic that is clearly reflected in this piece. The work features reliefs achieved by superimposing layers of paint, as well as delicate engraved details decorated in gold.
The base bears labels and marks indicating the authorship and possible date of the piece, with the inscription ‘A. Reyen 89’. There are no visible defects.
