Amber bead bracelet, Qing dynasty

The bracelet is made of seventeen amber beads (of equal size) and a central oval bead (larger), decorated with carved 'shou' characters. At the end, it has a turned piece, linked by a decorative cord (later), and small pieces between the beads. This type of bracelet is related to good omens and longevity "寿字" (Shòu zì).
