Description.
Elegant necklace composed of 34 honey-hued spherical amber beads, each finely carved with the character Shou (寿), symbol of longevity, surrounded by floral and geometric motifs. The beads are linked by a braided cord that highlights the warmth and translucency of amber. At the centre is a circular gilt-metal medallion, decorated with floral filigree, with a carved amber bead at its core that harmonises with the overall design. Qing dynasty (1644-1912) or later.
