Description.
Jade covered with an intense reddish patina with amber veins. It has a thick, quadrangular shape on which is placed the rounded figure of a reclining ram, with its head slightly tilted and its horns carved and curved backwards. The body is relaxed with the hind legs bent and the front legs extended. The base is engraved with incised characters for stamping. There is patina due to age. The piece is accompanied by a pedestal and box lined with brocade fabric. Qing dynasty (1644–1911).
