Press 'Program an autobid'in order to confirm
An ornamental vase with a stylised cylindrical shape, a narrow neck and a truncated conical rim. Crafted from multi-layered blown glass (verre camée) and finished using a multi-stage acid-etching process. It features a satin-finished mustard-coloured base with upper layers in shades of green, brown and blue that form a continuous naturalistic landscape depicting a forest beside a lake. In the foreground, the sharp outlines of trees, etched in a deeper relief, stand out. In the background, the acid-etching technique blurs layers of blue and light green glass to create a subtle effect of mist and perspective over the mountains and water.
Height: 63.5 cm
Provenance: European private collection.
