Description.
A natural agate bead in jet-black and grey tones, with translucent areas. The piece has an elongated spindle-shaped form and is distinguished by a series of transverse bands encircling the body of the bead, forming an ‘eye’ as a visual focal point. Liao Dynasty (916–1125) or later.
