Description.
Carved jade, in deep black and greyish tones. The piece depicts two fish, one larger and one smaller, with bulbous bodies. Of particular note are the meticulous carving of the scales in bas-relief, the striated fins and the raised circular eyes. It has a hole drilled through the mouth for use as a pendant. Warring States period (475–221 BC) or later.
