Description.
Ritual bell or bianzhong made of moulded porcelain. It consists of a flared lower body with a scalloped rim and a tall cylindrical shaft. The entire surface is decorated in cobalt blue with leaf motifs, scrolls and raised studs on a background of waves. The shaft bears a six-character mark “大明宣德年制”.
