Description.
Paper fan with openwork bone ribs. It features a pictorial design in the Romantic style, with three medallions depicting courtly scenes and period interiors, framed by delicate floral decoration. It is housed in a fan case with a carved and gilded wooden frame, featuring relief motifs and a red velvet background. Signed ‘C. Duwerier’ in the lower right-hand corner.
