Bracelet with eight agate beads, Liao dynasty

Comprising eight natural agate beads carved into spindle-shaped and biconical forms. It stands out for the variety of its beads, which include banded agates with veining in shades of ochre, cream and brown, as well as a larger central bead featuring a natural ‘eye’ in the centre. The beads show subtle marks of hand carving. Liao Dynasty (916–1125) or later.
