Description.
Bracelet with twelve carved agate beads. Decorated with alternating natural concentric bands in shades of chocolate brown, ochre, smoky grey and milky white. The twelve beads are spherical, reminiscent of the structure of an eye, a traditional symbol of protection. Shows patina due to ageing. Liao dynasty (916–1125) or later.
