Description.
Made of cast bronze with a dark patina. It depicts the historical Buddha, Sakyamuni, in a meditative position on a double-petalled lotus throne, with his right hand in bhumisparsha mudra. The figure is framed behind a large mandorla decorated with flaming motifs and volutes.
