Description.
Imposing meiping-type vase, made of cloisonné enamel on a gilded bronze body. The surface is profusely decorated with a continuous design of lotus flowers and plant tendrils in polychrome enamels on a turquoise blue background. Two large handles adorn the shoulders, sculpted in metal with a gilded finish and shaped like fierce-looking chilong dragons with coiled bodies. The piece is made in the Xuande style of the Ming dynasty.
