Description.
A bronze mirror of lobed form, characteristic of the Tang dynasty style, with a rich greenish patina resulting from the natural oxidation of the metal. The back surface has an elaborate decorative relief with motifs of mythical beasts amidst stylised clouds and foliage, framed by a lobed border with floral motifs. The central button, typical for holding such mirrors, is surrounded by the figures in a radial arrangement. The front part is smooth, intended for reflective purposes, although it shows signs of wear typical of its age.
Diameter: 19.5 cm
Weight: 625 g
