Description.
Tibetan astrological amulet (九宫), made of gilded bronze. It is square in shape with pointed corners. The obverse features a relief depiction of the cosmogram of the nine palaces, the eight trigrams of the Bagua and the twelve animals of the zodiac; the reverse shows a wrathful protective mask. Tibet, Qing dynasty (1644–1912) or later.
