Description.
An exceptional piece from one of the most ingenious designs of the early 20th century, created by Carl Bergner's firm in Sonneberg. Known as the ‘Three-Faced Doll’, an internal mechanism allows the head to be turned to show three different moods: smiling, crying and sleeping. The head is made of hand-painted biscuit porcelain. The body is of the articulated ‘Toddler’ type, made of composition paste and wood, dressed in a vintage white robe.
In good working order. It bears the manufacturer's mark ‘C.B.’.
Height: 34 cm
