Description.
Highly polished carved agate Dizi bead with a convex profile and longitudinal perforation. The colour is notable for its natural concentric bands alternating shades of dark reddish brown, milky white, orange and cream. The decoration is based on the masterful use of these colour bands to create patterns. Liao Dynasty (907–1125 AD).
