Description.
A natural agate bead in a spindle-shaped form. It is notable for its parallel horizontal veining in shades ranging from ochre and amber to subtle grey bands, creating a visual rhythm of great serenity. The surface has a glassy polish that enhances the stone. Liao Dynasty (916–1125) or later.
