Description.
Plaque carved from brown antler or similar material, with a grainy texture and amber-coloured veins around the edge. The front is decorated with a relief of Hotei, with a robust body and smiling expression, in a seated position. The back of the piece is also carved, with a character surrounded by lotuses and scrollwork.
