Description.
A cream-coloured jade carving with dark veins, featuring a rectangular base on which stands the figure of a robust-looking beast. The surface retains its patina and shows signs of wear. The bottom bears a seal inscribed with the characters ‘无使名过实’. Ming dynasty (1368–1644)
