Carved jade cong ‘Chicken bone’, Liangzhu culture

Creamy yellow carved jade with traces of opaque chalky white patina, also known as ‘鸡骨白’ or ‘chicken bone’. It has a cong shape: circular on the inside and square on the outside, with rounded corners. It is decorated with fine incisions that outline three horizontal registers separated by lines.
