Description.
White nephrite jade with a slightly rough finish due to its age. Carved in the shape of a rectangular-bodied cup with slightly flared edges, resting on a stepped square shaft and a flared base. The sides of the cup are decorated with fine incisions depicting a pair of deer amidst stylised clouds. Song Dynasty (960–1279) or later.
