Description.
A meticulously carved figure in brown jade with natural veins and patina. It depicts a male figure, dressed in a long tunic, carrying an amphora or container on his back. On the back is a bird, possibly a duck or goose, associated with good omens. The figure is characterised by a compact style and smooth lines, with details in the folds of the garment and the bird's feathers. Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) or later.
