Description.
Jade figure representing a bat, with an almost mythological appearance. The piece is finely carved, with a flat base on which the flat body is placed, with folded wings covered by a continuous pattern of small raised dots. It is topped with a finely carved head with a prominent, curled snout, large eyes and pointed ears. The alterations in the stone have been exploited, combining the pale celadon colour with areas of intense reddish colour.
Size: 9.4 x 1.5 x 4.9 cm
Weight: 55.1 cm
