Description.
Yellowish ochre jade with a network of whitish veins. The piece depicts a cicada with a tubular body and rounded edges, large protruding eyes and folded wings adorned with incised details in an archaic style. It shows signs of wear due to ageing. Liangzhu culture (approx. 3300–2300 BC) or later.
