Description.
Carved jade sculpture representing Shakyamuni, seated on a lotiform base. It presents the right hand in the gesture of bhūmisparśa mudrā, while the left hand holds a ritual bowl on the lap. The serene face, with soft features, shows typical iconographic elements such as the ushnisha and the elongated ears. The surface retains traces of red and gold polychrome. Song Dynasty (960-1279) or later.
