Description.
A finely carved jade figure depicting a tiger in a crouched position, with a serene expression and a compact body. The piece has a schematic design of incised lines marking the characteristic stripes of the feline, emphasizing the curve of the back and the tail curled around the body. The head is slightly raised, with almond-shaped eyes, a short muzzle and rounded ears. The stone is cream-coloured with a patina and dark veins that emphasize the reliefs.
