Description.
Jade of a soft tone and milky texture, carved in the form of two monkeys, a mother and her young, joined at the centre at the level of the legs. Both animals have a thick body, rounded spine and flexed legs, forming an oval image, finished by the united faces of the apes, which show a relaxed and serene expression. Age patina is visible. Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) or later.
