Description.
Celadon-coloured jade with reddish veins and an antique patina, carved to depict a stylised zoomorphic figure. It is depicted standing with its upper limbs raised and bent, prominent eyes and a central crest on the head. The thighs feature prominent rounded contours and the figure stands on a fluted base. Hongshan culture (c. 4700–2900 BC) or later.
