Description.
A ritual ornament in the form of a ge ceremonial axe, carved in light-beige jade with a brown patina and natural age spots. The piece has a trapezoidal silhouette with a rectangular opening at the bottom. The upper part is decorated with an archaic-style bat. This section also shows circular perforations, to be suspended or integrated into ceremonial attire. The body of the piece is engraved with linear and geometric motifs that evoke ancient characters and auspicious symbols. Qing dynasty (1644-1912) or later.
