Carved jade painting palette, with box, Qing dynasty.

Carved and crafted celadon-white jade with a rectangular shape and lobed corners. In the centre of the front face is a vase-shaped relief, decorated with borders and elephant handles, used for mixing pigments for painting. The back is stepped in the same shape as the palette. In perfect condition with original carved wooden box to size.
