Description.

Jade carved in the shape of a pendant representing a coiled dragon. This type of dragons have round eyes and pointed ears. It presents patina and small flaking. 

This type of object was used as distinctive ornaments to represent the status of individuals in the Hongshan culture, which flourished in northeastern Neolithic China. In this form they have been discovered in the sites of this area, which were excavated during the 20th century.
