Description.
Quadrangular plate of carved jade, with a narrow profile and lobed edges. It shows on the front face a small scene where two characters dressed in long traditional robes are arranged, along with a stylized heron and a small deer, all framed by a large tree with twisted branches, which is set against a background of openwork details. Qing Dynasty (1644-1912) or later.
