Description.
Stamp with a rectangular base carved in dark brown tone jade with natural patina. The upper part is topped by the figure of a lion in a recumbent position, with its head erect and schematic details in mane, paws and face. The carving, of sober and compact style, presents a lateral perforation in the belly of the animal, possibly for use as a pendant or amulet. The base is engraved with seal-style characters “心游书囿”. Qing dynasty (1644-1912) or later.
