Description.
A Hetian jade stone of naturally domed and polished shape, with reddish and orange veins running across the surface contrasting with the white base of the material. One side of the stone has a fine engraving depicting a mountain scene with traditional architecture amidst trees. The same side also has a calligraphic inscription accompanied by a seal carved in bas-relief. On the back face is a long carved poem. The stone rests on a wooden base carved in the form of clouds, which complements the irregular shape of the jade. Qing dynasty (1644-12) or later.
