Carved jade stone ‘Poem’, Qing dynasty

White jade, covered by a rich ‘shell’ or patina of reddish and amber tones, which extend across the surface. The piece has an organic rock shape with rounded edges. The piece is inscribed with a poem alongside a square seal. It rests on a custom-made carved wooden base depicting a beautiful landscape of rugged rocks and blossoming trees. Qing dynasty (1644–1911).
