Carved jade stone ‘Poem’, Qing Dynasty

A carved jade stone, celadon in colour, with a distinct natural veining in shades of ochre and reddish-brown. The piece retains its organic, rounded form. The obverse features a classic engraved scene depicting two sages conversing beside bamboo branches, accompanied at the top by a seal mark. The reverse features a lengthy poetic inscription carved into the stone. Qing Dynasty (1644–1912).  or later.
