Carved stone "Kassapa Buddha", Liao style

Carved stone, with patina and wear. It depicts three niches containing the Buddha, in half-relief, seated in a meditative posture on a lotus base. They are holding sacred objects with their hands on their laps in a 'mudra' position. On the pillars dividing the niches are characters written "迦葉佛" (Kassapa Buddha). In the lower part there is a register with a bas-relief showing a procession of a dignitary being carried in his chariot accompanied by his guards. Depicts faults. On a carved wooden base.
