Description.
Ding-type tripod incense burner, carved from natural nephrite jade of a pale celadon tone with areas of slight translucency. The piece features a globular body profusely decorated with stylised cloud and scroll motifs in relief. The upper rim is lobed, with two rectangular handles and scroll-shaped extensions. It rests on three zoomorphic claw-shaped legs. It shows patina due to age with traces of cinnabar or earthy sediments. Warring States period (475–221 BC) or later.
