Description.
Pale white jade with subtle ochre veins. The piece is carved in the shape of a mountain, featuring a complex landscape in bas-relief with pine trees, paths and pavilions. It depicts a scene with figures in a boat travelling down a river. One of the smooth sides bears a lengthy inscription, incised and gilded. The piece rests on a carved wooden plinth. Qing Dynasty (1644–1912).
