Carved yellow jade plaque, Qing dynasty

Jade of a unique yellow-green hue with honey-coloured undertones. The piece is rectangular in shape, flattened, with a perforation at the top. The surface is decorated with a bas-relief carving of sinuous motifs that intertwine symmetrically, framing a central panel. A silky patina surrounds the piece. It comes with a custom-made box. Qing dynasty (1644–1911).
