Description.
The censer has a globular body with a pronounced, slightly protruding upper rim, supported by three short, conical legs. The piece is completely covered with a light celadon glaze, with a uniform greenish hue and a soft lustre. The unglazed base reveals the ceramic paste and shows circular firing marks. The sober and balanced design is reminiscent of archaic bronze models that were reinterpreted in porcelain during the Qing dynasty (1644-1912) or later.
