Description.
A porcelain vase of sculptural form. The neck is short, with a wide and slightly everted opening and a gently rounded rim. The shoulder is bulbous and joins a bulbous body, decorated with prominent reliefs in the form of buffalo heads, from which emerge stylised horns and prominent eyes, arranged symmetrically all around. The body is supported on six legs modelled on buffalo feet, which connect the belly of the vase to a hexagonal-shaped openwork base. The Junyao glaze covers the entire surface, predominantly bluish tones with striking purple flecks in the neck and shoulder area.
Height: 18 cm; Diameter: 11 cm
