Description.
Made of olive green jade with a marked patina with ochre and whitish colour alterations. The piece has an elongated, flat rectangular shape, with one end finished in an asymmetrical point and the other in a straight base with two circular perforations for fastening. It displays great decorative restraint, with fine incisions on the handle forming archaic-style beasts. Shang dynasty (approx. 1600–1046 BC) or later.
