Chinese painting ‘Arhat sitting on a rock’, signed Ding Guanpeng

Painting executed in ink and pigments on silk, mounted on a brocade silk frame. It depicts an arhat seated on a rock formation, dressed in a red tunic and holding a mala in his right hand, while offering a gesture of giving with his left. It bears the inscription ‘臣丁观鹏恭画’ in the lower left corner, accompanied by the red seals “丁观鹏” and ‘恭绘’. Ding Guanpeng (1708–1771).
