Chinese painting ‘Children with Pomegranate and Toad’, signed Yao Wenhan

Painting executed in ink and pigments on silk, mounted in a brocade silk frame in shades of gold and red. It depicts three children in traditional clothing adorned with colourful jewellery in a playful scene. One of them is holding a pomegranate branch and a toad. On the lower left-hand side there is an inscription next to two seals, ‘臣’ and ‘翰’.
