Chinese painting ‘Cranes under a pine tree’, signed Zhang Weibang

Pigments and ink on silk, with a brocade silk frame. The scene depicts two cranes, one standing upright and the other bent over as if preening itself, perched on blue rocks. Behind them stands a leafy pine tree. On the right-hand side is the inscription ‘臣张为邦恭画’ (Zhang Weibang, active during the Qing dynasty, 18th century), with a red seal ‘臣张为邦’.
